It is with great sadness, we join with the nation and the Commonwealth, to mourn the death of HRH Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh. We send our deepest condolences to Her Majesty, our Queen and all her family on their sad loss.

We mourn with her, the loss of her Husband, Father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather, and also Companion and Consort.

In the coming days there will be more information regarding services, prayers and other  ways of marking his passing. For now, if you wish to leave a message of condolence you can visit the Diocese of Lichfield website and follow the links to how you can do that.

Please join with me in holding the Queen, her family and each of us in love and prayer as we pray…

God of our lives

We give thanks for the life of Prince Philip For his love of our country And for his devotion to duty We entrust him now to your love and mercy Through Jesus Christ. Amen.

About us

The Benefice, part of the Diocese of Lichfield,  works together in several ways:

    • On the 5th Sunday of a month there is only one service, for all to come together to worship. It is hosted by each parish in turn.
    • The churchwardens meet regularly, with the Rector, to discuss and agree as appropriate common approaches, the sharing of resources and calendar details.
    • Before the pandemic the four parochial church councils met together twice each year.
    • The identity of the Benefice is promoted through its Facebook page and the Sunday pew sheet.
    • The Benefice and parish treasurers work on items of shared expenditure.

There are shared events, often linked to the season, such as the summer evening’s prayer and praise.  We are currently looking forward to the season of Lent and our Lent lunches.  These will be virtual experiences this year, through a Zoom link.  They will include one of our lay worship leaders leading us in a reflection on a Bible passage and prayer, as well as conversation – while we each drink the coffee or eat the lunch we have brought!  The Zoom links will be posted nearer the day, but the dates and times are:

2nd March 1pm Reflection: Mark 8: 31 – end
9th March 1pm Reflection: John 2: 13 – 22
15th March  1pm Reflection: John 3: 14 – 21
22nd March 1pm Reflection: John 12: 20 – 33
