Given the current continued lockdown, the church will be open for private prayer from 10.30 am to 11.30 am every Sunday – and the church is heated! There are no services in church. Watch Benefice page and attached pew sheet for information about virtual services.
Currently the monthly pattern is:
|1st Sunday||10.30 am to 11.30 am||Open for Private Prayer|
|2nd Sunday||9.30 am||Holy Communion|
|3rd Sunday||10.30 am to 11.30 am||Open for Private Prayer|
|4th Sunday||9.30 am||Holy Communion|
|5th Sunday||a Benefice service – details published in the magazine and on the website|
The acts of worship are shorter than usual. Social distancing rules apply and masks must be worn. There is no singing. During a communion service only bread is administered. In order to manage everyone’s safety at the moment, we have to run a ‘booking’ service for Sunday worship. If you wish to attend a service, please contact K Kimber, either by email: firstname.lastname@example.org or phone: 01691 679646 by 6 pm on the Wednesday before the service.
Before the Covid pandemic, the usual pattern for 1st to 4th week was Family Service / Service of the Word interspersed with Holy Communion. Updated information will be posted as the situation changes.
Our church facilities:
We are fortunate to have access to the main body of the church and to a cloakroom for wheelchair users. There is a hearing loop. Within the church there are projection and sound facilities.
There is parking in the lane opposite the church, on the Jubilee Playing Field car park (off the main road just before the church), and sometimes, with permission, at the Village Hall. Trefonen Primary School and the Village Hall adjoin the church.
We would serve refreshments after a service, Covid regulations permitting.
In ‘normal’ times’ the church building would be open during the day for anyone who wished to go in for quiet contemplation or prayer.
There is a reflective garden at the front of the church, created during 2020, and you are very welcome to sit and walk there.
